16th March: Marquis O’Lorne Hotel, Lambton, Newcastle NSW

Richard Lara stands back in the very spot 35 years after The Screaming Jets performed for the first time at the Marquis O’Lorne Hotel in Lambton.
The first show that featured the five members that would go on to create the bands legacy, played under the name ‘The Love Bombs’ for the first and only time.
The hotel has since changed its name to ‘The Mark’ and can be found on the corner of Dickson Street and Morehead Street.

This photo was reproduced from Who Magazine article in July 1997 of Dave standing outside.
